Dujone Dekha Holo

Recently fallen in love with this rabindra sangeet song as Durga Puja is approaching nearer. Can’t get over it. Its a very melodious and beautifully written by Rabindranath Tagore.

For those who would like to know the meaning of this song:
Bengali:
Dujone dekha holo madhujaminee re –

Keno katha kohilo na, choliya gelo dhiree

Nikunje dakhinabaay korichhe haay haay ,

Lata pata dule dule dakichhe phire phire

Dujoner ankhibari gopane gelo boye ,

Dukoner praner katha pranete gelo roye

Aar to holo na dekha jagate dohe eka –

Chiradin chharachhari jamunateere

English Translation
The two met.And a honeysweet night it was
Why didn’t they speak a word. Why did they part
The south wind blowing in the woods is lamenting the loss
The swinging boughs are pleading for a reunion
Both parted with tearful eyes, unbeknownst to the other.
words from the heart remained unspoken in their hearts
Never did they meet again. Alone in this world of woe
Parted forever, on the Jamuna banks.

Hope you like it. :)

Kabhi Shaam Dhale

A very vibrant song. Requires full energy for any singer to sing this song. Violin is one of the best part used in here. But all together I love this song and tried to attempt it. Originally sung by Mahalaxmi Iyer. She is one of my favorite singers. Hope you all enjoy this song…. :)
